Actor-choreographer Kishore Aman Shetty, partner detained for drugs in Mangaluru


Police said on Saturday they had arrested two people, including actor-choreographer-dancer Kishore Aman Shetty, who allegedly tried to sell MDMA, a banned drug also known as ecstasy.

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Police Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested two foreign nationals allegedly involved in drug trafficking and seized 134 ecstasy (MDMA) pills and 25 strips of LSD worth of Rs 10 lakh in the city.

Acting on the basis of credible information, CCB detectives on Friday arrested Nonso Joachin (36) from Nigeria, and Traori Ben (25) from Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), according to a CCB statement.

Two cell phones, two two-wheelers, among others, were also seized. According to the CCB, they had come to India on a medical assistant visa and were involved in illegal activities in violation of passport and visa rules.

According to the preliminary investigation, there is information regarding cases that were registered against them at two police stations earlier, the statement said, adding that a case has now been registered against them under the law. NDPS.
