McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business is undergoing an overhaul in the way it delivers undergraduate education, with fewer boardrooms and podiums and more open spaces that encourage learning. interaction between students from different disciplines.

The KPMG Ignition Lab, funded by KPMG, “will embrace digital technology” and promote experiential learning among students.

DeGroote is getting an overhaul in the way it offers undergraduate education, with fewer boardrooms and podiums and more open spaces that encourage interaction between students from different disciplines.

“The contribution of this new lab is directly aligned with our vision of the McLean Center as the destination of choice for students to discover, learn and collaborate across multiple faculties and academic disciplines,” said McMaster President David Farrar.

McMaster says students from different faculties and disciplines can come together in the new lab, “explore synergies, spark new ideas, and solve real-world problems.”

KPMG hopes the space will serve as a pathway for the next generation.

The KPMG Ignition Lab will be a space for innovation, analysis and cutting-edge technology housed in the new McLean Center for Collaborative Discovery – a multi-story addition to the DeGroote School of Business scheduled for completion for 2023.
