Podcast host Sonnie Johnson slammed Democrats and Republicans over public school systems on Tuesday’s “Fox News Primetime”.
Host Lawrence Jones introduced her after discussing recent school closures across the country over concerns over COVID-19 despite parental objection. Johnson said it was a natural reaction of the government’s excessive will.
WE HAVE âSTOLENâ ACADEMIC SUCCESSES FROM OUR CHILDREN: PERINO
âIf you don’t send your child to some form of school, mainly public schools, there are laws against you that can be used to punish you, truancy laws,â Johnson said. “So they make sure that you don’t have a choice, by forcing you to send your children to these institutions. If you can afford other options, you have to send your children, and you get used to them. . It becomes regulated towards you. And now what we see is the power the government has when it gives you everything to take everything away. “
She also lamented the damage done to children at the lower end of the socio-economic ladder who cannot afford to be taken out of public schools.
âSo now that they took especially the kids who are on the lower socioeconomic scale and said, ‘We’re going to give you school, and now we’re going to take it away. âYou are going to see how much capacity the government has to interfere with our lives,â Johnson said.
While Johnson appreciated that the closures “exposed a lot of what has been done wrong in public school systems,” she said Republicans had done little to affect the change.
“The reason Republicans don’t fight back is because they can’t,” Johnson added. âThe majority of these regulations and rules that are coming in are at the local level. There are no Republicans at the local level with the power or the ability to actually fight these policies. So there is nothing Republicans can do. There is no solution for the Republicans as long as their strategy for these areas is to run the tail between their legs. “

Johnson offered Republicans a final warning.
“If you want to take advantage of the government candy jar, you will have to send your children to public schools which will be run by Karen people who have degrees in feminist studies who are delaying the education of their own children for a chance to raise. yours, âshe said.â That’s what we’re looking at. And we have to take it seriously. And if Republicans don’t decide that the local level is the real fight, there is nothing they can offer black America or American children. ”
