The UNM School of Architecture + Planning is hosting an Open House on Friday, October 21 from 3-7 p.m. at George Pearl Hall to showcase student and faculty work. The event is open to everyone.
The Departments of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Community and Regional Planning will exhibit student work and faculty research on the “Crit Bridge” at George Pearl Hall. The Open House is an opportunity to meet faculty and chairs and learn more about the programs.
As part of the Open House, SA+P Student Ambassadors will conduct tours of George Pearl Hall to all visitors which will include “studio stops” at select student offices. There will be an exhibit in the Rainosek Gallery with refreshments, the Fab Lab will be open for tours and demonstrations, and the 3D Printing Lab will offer demonstrations of print jobs.
The SA+P Open House also coincides with the “Reimagine Harvard” pop-up event attended by our landscape architecture students and faculty. Visitors are encouraged to walk around and view this exhibit.
And as if that weren’t enough, SA+P will host a guest lecture featuring architect Marlon Blackwell at 5:30 p.m. in Auditorium Garcia by architect Marlon Blackwell. A reception at the Rainosek Gallery will follow.
