An assistant teacher at a government primary school in Hardoi district of UP was suspended on Wednesday after a video in which she was seen having her hand massaged by a student inside a classroom has gone viral.
Confirming the development, Hardoi block education officer Sanjeev Kumar Bharti said the incident concerned a government primary school in the Pokhari block.
In the viral video, Urnila Singh, an assistant teacher, was seen having her hands massaged by a student in the class.
He added that there had already been some complaints about the teacher.

The school principal, Archana Pandey, had reported on the teacher’s conduct some time ago. The matter was reported to Basic Shiksha Adhikari, Vice President Singh.
Confirming the news, Singh said the teacher had been suspended after being found guilty on a prima facie basis.
In the video, it was clear that she was not interested in teaching students.
